The fragrance of bergamot has been enchanting people for centuries. Because of its wide range of healing properties and its complex citrus scent, it is one of the most popular essential oils. The aroma of Bergamot Essential Oil (Citrus Bergamia) is reminiscent of orange, but it is wonderfully more complex. It almost seems to possess an underlying floral characteristic to it. Drinkers of Early Gray tea are especially familiar with the flavour and aroma of bergamot as the oil is used to flavour the tea. Bergamot Essential Oil may be helpful in use during periods of depression, sadness or grief, and it is known for its ability to help combat oily skin and acne. It is mentally stimulating, has a refreshing uplifting effect and a calming and relaxing influence.
